Using Navionics App with NMEA2000 Systems

NavLink Wireless NMEA2000

Our Sonar Server is designed to connect to existing and legacy systems via NMEA0183, but some of the latest Multi-Function Displays and networked systems only have an NMEA2000 interface, which is not compatible with our Sonar Server.

For anyone that wishes to use their Navionics App and Sonar Charts “Live” with the latest NMEA2000 systems, then Digital Yacht’s NavLink wireless NMEA2000 server is the product to use. Navlink operates with the Navionics App in exactly the same way as Sonar Server, passing the same Depth and GPS data, but takes its data from the NMEA2000 network rather than an NMEA0183 port.

NavLink takes its data and power from the NMEA2000 network via its integral NMEA2000 cable that is fitted with a standard Micro NMEA2000 plug (Male). It will work with the proprietary NMEA2000 networks like SeatalkNG (Raymarine) and SimNet (Simrad/B&G) but you will need to purchase a suitable adaptor cable from the relevant manufacturer:-

  • SimNet Adaptor Cable P/No. 24006199 from Simrad or B&G
  • SeatalkNG Adaptor Cable P/No. A06045 from Raymarine
